Dried Tart Cherry Granola

A healthy mix of granola, dried cherries or blueberries, nuts and oat clusters. Our simple granola recipe is a great way to set the family up for the day. Makes approx 8x 50g servings

Ingredients

2 tbsp oil (we used Good Oil in this recipe)

125ml maple syrup

2 tbsp honey (we used acacia in this recipe)

1 tsp vanilla extract

250g rolled or flaked oats

110g Roasted mixed nuts (in this instance hazelnuts, brazils, almonds, cashews, macadamias, pistachios and rich buttery pecans).

5g grams of mixed seeds (pumpkin, sunflower and golden linseeds)

100g CherryActive® Dried Tart Cherries Cherries

50g coconut flakes or desiccated coconut

2 tbsp black treacle

Milk or natural yoghurt to serve (see below for alternative serving suggestions)

Method

1. Heat oven to 150C/fan 130C/gas 2. Mix the oil, maple syrup, honey and vanilla in a large bowl. Tip in all the remaining ingredients, except the dried fruit and coconut, and mix well.

2. Tip the granola onto two baking sheets and spread evenly. Bake for 15 mins, then mix in the coconut and dried fruit, and bake for 10-15 mins more.

3. Remove and scrape onto a flat tray to cool.

4 The granola can be stored in an airtight container for up to a month.

Serve with greek yogurt and an added sprinkle of CherryActive® dried tart cherries or blueberries.
